About Me

I am a student of philosophy from Minnesota. My main areas of interest are metaphysics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, and some theological debates. I defend such propositions as: that God exists and can be known by human reason alone (i.e. without the aid of special revelation); that mental states are not identical with brain states; that humans, and other creatures endowed with intellect, have free will; that certain hyper-empirical doctrines are mistaken (e.g. Humean skepticism, positivism, and their descendant: scientism); and that, save theology, philosophy is superior to all the other sciences.

My non-philosophical interests include: cycling, literature, playing guitar, listening to great music, cigars and pipes, football, and saunas.
